I love pomegranates. My mom would sometimes buy one when I was little and I'd watch her cut it in half and we'd eat it together.
I have some early childhood memories of pomegranates too. They feel all Christmassy and cozy.
The background is actually a pottery plate with a crystalline glaze in blue and green (half the plate is blue, half greenish).
