Burrowed under skin
Slowly getting red and sore
Is a small splinter
Haikus: June 2008 Archives
To feel the day drain
From my body sore and tired
Exhale, relax, sleep
Hanging off the edge
Giggling, chatting, goofing off
Real summer learning
After a hot day
The cool evening breeze swirls
With vitality
Buzzing flies ellipse
Through the thick hot air, floating
As if on water
Every time she stops
The rabbits pause their escape
Ears twitching, eyes bright
Racing rolling glee
Stretching out before bare feet
Freedom of a lawn
My eyes need to close
My body's limp and weary
Must be nine o'clock
Ideas float, humid, thick
In amongst the old brownstone
Palpable dreaming
Little floating O's
In a round bowl of white milk
Nutrients added
One person one vote
How elegantly simple
Why is it so hard?
Food is better
If appropriately aged
Like cheese, on one's shirt
